Lifespan Religious Exploration
Welcome! Unitarian Universalist life-span religious exploration programs support the spiritual growth of youth
and adults in our UU community. We strive to create an environment of life-long learning with a
commitment to the principles of Unitarian Universalism. Our programs offer guidance, companionship,
encouragement and empowerment as we embark on spiritual journeys, and address religious and ethical questions in our lives.

Our programs provide age-appropriate learning for our whole congregation - infants to adults.
• Wee Ones
(Infants-Kindergarten):
More than babysitting, the intentional care we provide offers a chance to experience love; to experience trust.
• Explorers (Grade 1-6):
Learning from wisdom stories and their own questions while they begin to practice trust.
• Seekers (Grade
7-9):
Exploring and articulating their attitudes and beliefs about
people in the Bible, God, death and Unitarian Universalism
through participation in the Coming of Age (COA) program.
• Youth
Testing trustworthiness through leadership and learning opportunities in group worship, social action and community building.
• Adults (18 and beyond):
Deepening trust, refining the search for our individual and communal spiritual practices, moral reasoning and theological discourse.
Special Programs
♦ OWL - Our Whole Lives Sexuality Education (Grades 7 – 9)
♦ Welcoming Congregation Adult
workshop addressing alternate lifestyle attitudes, prejudices,
knowledge and misconceptions.
♦ Weaving the Fabric of Diversity
Adult workshop that helps people overcome bias and celebrate diversity through telling their stories and listening to
others. Engages participants in a variety of activities to examine and challenge ableism, racism,
heterosexism, ageism, and classism in the safe, caring, and respectful environment of religious
community. Ends with an invitation to action.
The first UUFVB workshop took place on Oct 29, 2006.
