Membership Committee
It is the Membership Committee’s
responsibility to integrate new members into the Fellowship.
This includes efforts to invite people to attend services, provide
education about Unitarian Universalism, and explain the benefits and
responsibilities of membership. (New members to the committee itself are
always welcome!)
for visitors and friends who want to learn more about our Fellowship
Intro to UUFVB Class
This is an informal class held usually monthly, for visitors
and friends who want to learn more about our Fellowship. Check
at the Welcome Table that you see when you enter the church, or the Town Crier, for
specific dates and times. The discussion lasts about 30 minutes. No sign up is necessary
unless you need childcare. If you need childcare,
please let someone at the Welcome Table know the week before so it can be arranged.
Path to Membership Class
This program is strongly encouraged for those considering
membership at UUFVB. We cover such topics as a brief UU history, UU Principles and Purposes,
congregational polity, ministry programs, and the benefits and responsibilities of becoming a
member. It is offered several times throughout the year. Check with the Welcome Table, or contact
the Membership Committee, to find out the date of the next scheduled Path Class. Childcare can be
provided, with advance sign up.
To contact the membership committee, or to enquire about joining our congregation,
